Licensed Electrician

1. Installation: Responsible for installing electrical systems, wiring, and equipment according to the applicable codes and regulations. This includes working with lighting, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.

2. Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical issues. May be called upon to troubleshoot problems, replace faulty components, and ensure the overall safety and functionality of electrical systems.

3. Inspections: Conduct inspections of existing electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. This may involve checking wiring, circuit breakers, and other components for any potential hazards.

4. Blueprint Reading: Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics. This skill is crucial for understanding the layout and specifications of electrical systems.

5. Compliance: Adhering to local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations is a fundamental aspect of the job. Stay updated on changes in codes and ensure that the work meets the required standards.

6. Customer Service: Interact with clients to understand their electrical needs, explain the work to be done, and address any concerns. Strong communication skills are valuable in this aspect.

7. Troubleshooting: Adept at identifying and resolving electrical problems efficiently. This may involve using testing equipment and tools to diagnose issues and implement solutions.

8. Safety: Ensuring safety is a top priority. Must follow safety protocols, use personal protective equipment, and implement measures to prevent electrical accidents and hazards.

A candidate for this position should have at least a high school diploma, or equivalent, and at least two (2) years of documentable work experience as an electrician. We are willing to train the right candidate!
